Crooked Pint Ale House

Crooked Pint Ale House is a new sports-oriented casual dining restaurant and craft beer sports bar located in Firemen’s Park as part of the Chaska Curling and Event Center. Guests enjoy a full sports bar experience with live curling, bonspiels and competitions from the glass wall viewing area. Nelson-Rudie provided mechanical and electrical engineering services on the 7,600-square foot, 100-seat restaurant.

Dehumidification and ventilation ensure comfort and maintains crystal clear viewing through the full height glass viewing walls. A separate HVAC zone was used to allow proper temperature control independent of the rest of the curling and event center building. The design included packaged DX/natural gas roof top units with hot gas reheat and indoor recirculating fan coil units to keep the curling rink glass clear.

An old country, yet modern style lighting design was used throughout the restaurant. In addition to the glass wall viewing area, there are multiple monitors televising the curling rink action. Outdoor space includes a fully lit “Marti Gras” style patio with modern fire pit tables.
