Nelson-Rudie is a 100% employee-owned consulting engineering firm serving clients throughout the United States and Canada. Since 1976, we’ve built lasting relationships by helping clients solve complex facility challenges across a wide range of markets and industries.
Today, our primary areas of focus include mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems design. Our work spans retail, convenience stores, industrial and manufacturing facilities, food and beverage production, cold storage, healthcare, recreation, education, and commercial developments. From new construction, facility expansions, and renovations to national program rollouts, we focus on practical solutions and strong partnerships that help keep projects moving forward on time and on budget.
Founded by Dennis Nelson and Scott Rudie in 1976, Nelson-Rudie has grown to more than 85 employee-owners with engineers licensed throughout the United States and Canada. Employee ownership isn’t just how we’re structured; it’s how we approach our work. It fosters accountability, collaboration, and a long-term commitment to doing what’s right for our clients, our projects, and each other.
