BlackStack Brewing is an overall lease space of a 15,000-square foot building in St. Paul off Prior Avenue. The first phase of the project consisted of remodeling 4,000 square feet of space for the taproom and 2,000 square feet for the brewery.

The remodeling intent was to keep the existing industrial look with exposed existing concrete floor and column framing as well as exposed mechanical and electrical equipment and piping. There were no existing plans available which required field verifications of existing framing sizes to determine capacities of the existing framing to support the new brewery tanks as well as the mechanical ventilation and cooling equipment and the brewery steam boiler.
