What's New Principal Retires

After four decades of service, we honor and celebrate the extraordinary career of Joseph Pearce, PE.

Joe joined Nelson-Rudie after graduating from the University of North Dakota-Grand Forks, working alongside the company’s co-founder, Dennis Nelson. He quickly excelled in his field, becoming a principal and owner in 1997, a professional engineer licensed in 34 states, and led thousands of projects across the country. Throughout his tenure, Joe not only tackled complex structural challenges but also served as a mentor, colleague and friend, always willing to share his knowledge.

Joe has been instrumental in shaping Nelson-Rudie’s legacy. He led the company’s recent transition from a five-person ownership model to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) organization. His wealth of knowledge, leadership and unwavering commitment have left an indelible mark on our projects, our team and our culture.

As Joe embarks on this new chapter, we extend our heartfelt thanks for his dedication and wish him a retirement filled with relaxation, fulfillment and joy. Thank you, Joe, for 40 remarkable years of service.
