Mill City Distilling

Mill City Distilling, a craft spirits company, found a home for their distillery in a 12,000-square foot, two-story building at the historic 1865 Hamm’s Brewery complex in St. Paul, which has been abandoned since its closing in 1997.

Nelson-Rudie’s project included a 6,000-square foot remodel of the first floor to include a distillery. Our design team provided design-build assistance for the building’s mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems necessary to support the distillery operation and other building spaces.

During the time of the project, Mill City Distilling renamed their company to 11 Wells Spirits.
