Nelson-Rudie has provided refrigeration engineering services for 1,000+ Target projects including new retail stores, remodel designs and special project implementations that include liquor store/adult beverage alcove additions and in-aisle adult beverage expansions.

Our engineering team has worked on new systems and remodel designs for various refrigerated case and walk-in configurations. The equipment for the projects ranges from parallel racks, to distributed racks, to CO2 cascade and transcritical racks, to various condenser types including adiabatic, air cooled and evaporative. The designs also include smaller condenser/compressor units to serve walk-ins and/or refrigerated cases. Our projects have also included refrigerant replacements and replacement of equipment at end-of-life.

Target projects are a good example of our refrigeration engineering teams commercial refrigeration design skills. These projects have a large variety of refrigeration equipment and technologies that are encountered in commercial refrigeration systems including new advanced designs. Our refrigeration engineering team has the skills to work on a broad base of designs because of the diverse set of projects.
